New uploads, finally!

I finally got myself to uploading new work. This is a brochure (16pgs) that I made for Firo travel agency. It is supposed to entertain the kids while on a vacation with their parents. Have quite a lot of experience with that, haha. Click to enlarge the pictures!

Just a small preview...

... of a book that I am working on right now. It's quite different from what I normally do. But I think I have found my way to work with lino. Well, see for yourself :-) Click to enlarge the not so good pictures.

An unexpected break

I wasn't planning on taking a break this time of a year, but here it comes! I've been sick for a few days already and I probably won't be able to upload new works any time soon. Oh well.

Flickr update!

I have realized two important things today: First, when I tried to look myself up on google, the first thing that comes up is my flickr account. Which I haven't updated in two years! What a shame. So I have spent the whole night updating it. Here it comes: http://www.flickr.com/photos/maria_neradova/
The other thing I realized today, is that I have spent most of this week updating stuff! Which is important, but in the end I just found myself feeling bad about creating nothing this week. So it's going to change tomorrow. And I sure will update it later :P

Interview for KID

I am very glad to say that I have had an interview and a few of my works published on a website of a project called KID. KID is run by people who care about children and want them to spend some quality time creating something etc. They also publish profiles of illustrators, inform about children books, films or free time activities for children. I have been watching them for some time and really like what they're doing. Here's the link:

Athletic characterrs :-)

So here's the thing. A few months ago, my dad asked me to do some kind of decorations for a youth sports club bus. At first we thought we would put on some photos of young basketball players and football players... but then we were not able to get any good pictures... and here you have it. I hope the bus will be fun to ride :-)

Working on a website

I knew creating a website wouldn't be easy, but it's slowly coming out and I am actually startign to like it. Mostly because I love clean and neat design and squirrels :-)

Work work work

I'm not sure how I'm going to survive this semester, since I will be working on 2 completely different books. The one for school is rather depressing, I'm planning on illustrating one of the great fairy tales by Oscar Wilde. Will see how that turns out. This screenshot comes from the other book, which is supposed to be very optimistic and colorful and is meant to attract little children. So far so good. I guess I'll be on drugs by March :-)

Oh, website ain't my thing...

Not sure if I'm going to use one of these. But I've been trying to design my website lately. I just want to keep it clean and optimistic. These are some of the ideas for the header and the menu, let me know what you think. Click to enlarge.

Dental posters for kids

So here they go, the dental posters. Drawing teeth and cavities wasn't actually all that bad. I was afraid this project would come out as a catastrophe, but it turnes out to look ok :) Click on the posters to enlarge.
Yay! Back to work!

Kid's dental hygiene characters

These days, I have been working on a series of posters on dental hygiene for kids. It's actually more fun than I thought it would be so I hope I will be able to keep up the good work till it's done. Will post more later.
